Which disciplines are part of the WSC in 2011?
There will be 21 disciplines in cross-country, Nordic combined and ski jumping. To see the programme, click here.
 
Is biathlon a discipline in the World Ski Championships?
No, biathlon will not be part of the WSC since the International Biathlon Union does not come under FIS.
 
Where will the events take place?
All the disciplines will take place at Holmenkollen’s new national arena, which consists of the Holmenkollen ski jumping hill (K 120/HS 134), the Midtstubakken ski jumping hill (K 95/HS 106) and the cross-country arena. The official medal ceremonies will take place at the University Square in Oslo city centre.
 
When will the Holmenkollen National Arena be finished?
We take over the arena in the end of January 2011. 

When can I buy tickets for the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in 2011?

How can I buy tickets?
You can buy your tickets online, please go here: Read more about how to buy tickets here.  You can also buy tickets at all Narvesen and 7-Eleven shops. But if you will buy tickets to special zones, we recommend to use www.billettservice.no

Will there be group discounts for the purchase of multiple tickets?
On orders of over 250 tickets: 5% discount. Over 500 tickets: 10% discount. Discounts do not apply to numbered seats. For group reservations, send an e-mail to grupper@billettservice.no  or call + 47 815 33 321.

What is the spectator capasity in the various arenas?
At Holmenkollbakken there is room for around 18,000 in the "lapels" and "bowl", in addition to around 12,000 in the outer ski jump arena. The cross-country arena holds approximately 28,000, including 9,000 in the at VM-haugen (Gratishaugen) and 9, 000 at  "Kapellskogen".  At Midtstubakken, around 14,000 spectators can watch ski jumping competitions, with around 5 000 in the stands, and the remaining on the surrounding hill.

In total, how many tickets are there?
There is a total of 300 000 tickets for sale.

Will accommodation be available via WSC 2011?
We will in all likelihood be in a position to provide hotel accommodation for groups, most likely for groups of more than 10 people. Tickets for the events must be purchased separately. More information on hotel accommodation will be available after the summer.

Will you offer camping facilities in the Holmenkollen arena?
Yes, we will take care of the Holmenkollen tradition of camping in Marka. Tent spaces will be organised in the recreational area adjacent to the national arena. Follow us on www.oslo2011.no for more spesific information regarding camping. You can also read this camping article  related to the World Cup at Holmenkollen in March 2010. Most likely will do a lot of the same things.

Which days can we see cross-country skiers in action on the tracks around Frognerseteren?
The cross-country skiers will pass by the Frognerseteren area on Saturday 26/2, Sunday 27/2, Monday 28/2, Tuesday 1/3, Saturday 5/3 and Sunday 6/3. On Monday and Tuesday the 10 km-loop goes all the way to Bomveien.Notice that the competitors only pass Frognerseteren more than once on 30 km Pursuit Men, (27/2), 30 km ladies (Saturday 5/3) and 50 km men (Sunday 6/3).
