"This invitation is an important milestone for us here at the World Championship Organizing Comittee, and a sure sign that
we are getting closer to the great ski festival", says Åsne Havnelid, CEO of Oslo 2011.
The Invitation is comprehensive and includes facts about the World Ski Championship organizational structure, the National
Venue at Holmenkollen and the competition program, in addition to practical information for accreditation, accommodation,
transportation and registration deadlines.
"We expect about 650 athletes from about 60 nations", says Havnelid
Athlete names by February 5th
The first deadline for team registration is October 30th. By this date the National teams must submit how many athletes and
team support personnel that will participate. By February 5th a preliminary list of names must be submitted, and by February
21st the final list of each Nation's World Championship Team is due.
