In addition to witnessing great sporting events, fans will also experience fun entertainment such as choirs, theatre, musical
groups, marching bands, troubadours, jugglers, dancers and much more.
Fan entertainment
There will be fun entertainments for visitors of all ages, through a variety of wintery and folk themed events. A number of
artists will raise fan spirit in the stands and on the road to Holmenkollen. Their goals are to spread excitement and winter
joy through showing the cultural diversity of Oslo and Norway.
Themes
During the WSC there will be six differently themed days:
Saturday 26 February - Dance Day
There will be dance and movement in all imaginable forms. Join in the "OL-floka" dance, or do some warming salsa-steps during
breaks in the sport events!
Saturday 27 February - Retro Day
The day is a homage to the Nordic Ski Championships in 1966 and 1982, as well as to earlier Olympics. The record 140 000 spectators
during the ski jump event in 1952 is unlikely to be beaten, but maybe you'll meet Norwegian skiing icon Oddvar Brå at the
arena?
Wednesday 2 March - Choir Day
Sing with the voice you have got! This day is reserved for songbirds, and maybe you will learn the lyrics to the official
WSC 2011 song.
Saturday 5 March - Talent Day
The FIS Nordic World Ski Championship 2011 wants to be a future oriented event and on this day we focus on the heroes of tomorrow,
both in sports and culture.
Sunday 6 March - Neighbour day
We place especial emphasis on cultural diversity and international community, and cheer for our neighbour, the neighbourhood
next door, the neighbouring municipality and our neighbouring country.
