The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships is more than a sport festival at Holmenkollen. It is also a cultural festival in the Oslo centre. All activities in down town Oslo is free of charge.

Wednesday 23 February
18:00 Official opening of the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2011 The opening starts at Palace Hill (Slottsbakken) and ends at University Square. It includes a performance of the WSC song by Maria Haukaas Mittet. The opening ceremony is free to the public.
